at Effingham High School's Cafetorium.

The schedule is:

Thursday, Aug. 1st 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Students whose last name begins with A - K.

Friday, Aug. 2nd 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Students whose last name begins with L - Z.

Our winners for collecting the most change are:

1st Grade: Mrs. Walter's class with a total of $64.87

2nd Grade: Mrs. Carpenter's class with a total of $92.54

Prizes will be delivered to those two classes soon!!

"Thanks to you", South Side has $570.00 to buy new

library books and Scholastic will donate 570 books to

kids in need.

South Side students took part in the nationwide challenge

called READ THE MOST FROM COAST TO COAST on Friday,

March 1, 2013. This challenged our students to join other

schools across America to break the record for the number

of Accelerated Reader quizzes taken in one day. This event

was a huge success as the final count was 4,409,622 quizzes

taken in one day. Our own students passed 998 quizzes.
